your family. All of our instructors are certified and experienced RN's. Our clients like the fact that often the same
nurse educator can be available for all their courses, as well as in hospital and at home follow up. Since our
nurse educators have many years of teaching and childbirth experience, they can help you deal with the
unexpected and maintain your comfort level with education throughout your pregnancy.
Kay Willis RN ~ Founder
As a nurse in women's services since 1988, I have always been an advocate for women's empowerment through
education. Working in Labor and Delivery as well as Lactation service, Postpartum and Nurseries over the years I
noted that women did so much better when they understood what to expect. I learned how to help my patients
better take control of their responses simply by having a clear understanding of what was taking place and why it
was occurring. Their husbands began working with them in formulating a family plan when they were included in the
education and decision making roles and a tryad has developed today with fathers as involved in many cases as mothers in
child rearing.
Labor and Delivery has changed greatly in the last 30 years. As a nurse, mother and military wife I have learned
many different philosophies for pregnancy management and delivery first hand. I began teaching Prepared
Childbirth classes in 1992, as well as Breastfeeding and Newborn care. There have been so many wonderful
changes to date I am delighted to discuss and inform my new parents in all of the latest research and discoveries
in sleep, swaddling, colic, feeding and Sids.
Today it is a whole new and wonderful world. Every option is now available to families and I am thrilled to be a
part of the next step in childbirth education.
