Refresher & Review Classes
All classes are $50 per hour. Most classes can be done in 2 hours, Prepared childbirth is normally a 3
hour class, however you can choose to have an overview only with self study material. Up to 3 couples
are included in this fee, call for special pricing if you have 4 or more couples. Ask about multi class
discounts. We require payment for your class 2 weeks in advance so we can reserve that time for you.

Cancellation Policy
If you have booked a class and are unable to attend, we will make every effort to reschedule or assist you in any way we can. We recognize that unfortunate exceptions occur
and we will be happy to offer website product or consultations in place of your class. If the unavoidable occurs however, the refund schedule is as noted:
More than 2 weeks before class date, a partial refund of the course cost will be returned to you if we cannot offer you any viable alternatives. After that no refund is available,
but store and consult credit is still available. Please see our store website at www.thenestingplace.biz.
We appreciate your understanding that we book your class with payment of the course and reserve that time for you .

In the event of bad weather, the Nesting Place will decide if classes need to be cancelled. If bad weather hits our area, you will need to call our office at 817-480-3775 for
class information. If the class is cancelled we will make every attempt to contact you to reschedule the class. We hope this will avoid anyone risking their safety trying to get
to a class during bad weather.

| The art of breastfeeding is truly a gift that only we can give to our children. It is a skill, however, that we need to learn. Our lactation consultants are available before delivery to help you learn. We provide instruction to include: anatomy and physiology of the breast, components of breast milk, proper positioning, pumping, storage and a review of pump equipment. We also provide breastfeeding instruction and lactation consultants after delivery for help if needed to resolve any difficulties. |
| Prepared childbirth classes are intended to prepare you for any birthing experience. We follow a prepared childbirth curriculum that covers a multiple of techniques and methods. The course includes anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, nutrition, traditional versus hospital medications, vaginal deliveries, recovery, c/sections, emergencies of pregnancy, when to go to the hospital, what to take with you, pros and cons of episiotomies & epidurals, and breathing exercises with relaxation techniques. |
| Anticipation of a new person in our lives comes with a mixture of joy and trepidation. As first time parents, the many questions you may have can seem daunting. Our baby basics course answers your questions. Some of the topics covered are: how do you know if your baby is getting enough to eat, how to care for the cord, when and how to bathe, swaddle, and dress your newborn, and when and what immunizations are required. We offer hands on classes with practice and role modeling built into the class. |
| What really causes colic? Do you want to learn how to quiet any crying baby in under 7 minutes (many times in less than 1-2)? Learn how to trigger the calming reflex and the true and easily resolvable causes of most colic using Dr Karp's methods. With the course you can also get the DVD and white noise CD by Dr Karp. |
| Learn safety measures and precautions to take to keep your child safe in your home. Also learn the emergency life saving techniques that may help to protect your infant and others in a true emergency. Instructors are certified by the American Heart Association and can also teach certification courses for adults in your home. |

If you have had a previous c/section and are hoping to have a v-bac this time, or if you are breech and just want a shortened version of the c/section class we can tailor a course designed just for you.
